About the StarOffice 8 Office Suite Tutorials and Guides
 StarOffice 8 Office Suite Guides is a collection of training guides that are intended to promote Sun Microsystems' vision of sharing, participation, and opportunity in what Sun calls "The Participation Age". The Sun Microsystems Foundation developed this curriculum to enable novice and intermediate technology users access to new opportunities that strengthen their communications and productivity skills and to encourage sharing personal journeys with others. You can either learn the skills on your own, or you can use the guides in a facilitated (1:1 or group) learning environment. What is the StarOffice 8 Office Suite?
StarOffice 8 is a complete, feature-rich office productivity product. It includes powerful programs for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, drawing, database, graphics, photo editing, and Web publishing. Its user interface is intuitive and easy to use, plus it is multi-platform, available on the Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms as well as the Solaris Operating Environment. StarOffice 8 supports 11 languages. You will need the program to use these guides. You can download the StarOffice Office Suite for a 90 day free trial, or purchase the program directly from Sun.
