How to format your spreadsheet.

Now that you have all your information entered you can focus on formatting. There are many things that you can do to make your spreadsheet look organised.

You can:
     
  merge cells and center titles
    bold text
    change fonts and font size
    change text color
    change background color of a cell
    align text in cell
    format numbers to show as dollars
    use shading to highlight information
    add grids to separate columns and rows
    name the work sheet

 
   
FORMAT CURRENCY
   
Enter the amount you wish to have in its proper cell.
  Ensure the cell is selected, and right click on it.
  Scroll to "Format Cells" and click it. A screen with the name "Format Cells", like the one shown below, will appear.
  Click on the "Numbers" tab.
  In the box called "Category", click on "Currency".
  Select the "Format" you want by clicking on it, then click "OK".

NAMING THE WORKSHEET
   
At the bottom of your sheet, you will see a tab with "Sheet 1" on it, right-click it.
  A "Rename Sheet" box will appear. Enter the name you want to give your spreadsheet.
  Click "OK". Your sheet is now renamed.
   
There are many other options you can use to add style to your spreadsheet. You can refer back to Part 2, Formatting, if you can't remember how to use them, or you can search the help file.

Remember that it is important to save Save your work often.

Once you have added all the information, you can print out your spreadsheet by
clicking print Print.
