Instructional Methodology:
The StarOffice 8 Office Suite guides are intended to be used as a roadmap for learning about the online digital world and the value of technology for personal life skills. These guides are designed to instruct the user in basic skills while encouraging practice, exploration and the discovery of further uses for technology. It is hoped that through these guides, users will find that technology expands their vision and provides tools for sharing experiences and supporting life goals. If a facilitator is present, their role is shifted from presenting subject matter to promoting conversation with the learners; encouraging them to find personal value in these new skills and to discover new ways to communicate and share with others. Each guide includes possible routes, road blocks and shortcuts in the use of these new skills.
