In 2008, Sun was again named one of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens by The CRO magazine (formerly Business Ethics magazine). This award acknowledges Sun's efforts in environmental responsibility, corporate governance and ethics, fairness toward employees, accountability to local communities, providing responsible products and services, and maintaining a healthy rate of return for investors. This is the third year in a row Sun has been recognized on the 100 Best Corporate Citizens list. The data used to create this list was collected by IW Financial, an independent investment research firm.

For the third year in a row, Sun is among the top 10 Fortune 500 companies providing outstanding commuter benefits to a significant portion of its U.S. workforce to help decrease air pollution, traffic congestion, and dependence on fossil fuels.
