Our employees are one of our key stakeholder audiences. We've established an employee engagement program to run in parallel with our external stakeholder engagement initiatives, following a somewhat disappointing lack of response from employees on the publication of our first CSR report in January 2007. We received some comments on the report from employees — both positive and negative — and queries on specific aspects of our CSR programs. However, we received feedback on the report from only a small number of employees. Approximately 92% said it was important to them that Sun is a socially and environmentally responsible company in the annual employee survey conducted in November 2006. Yet significantly fewer employees have actually downloaded the CSR report from our Web site in fiscal 2007, despite a link being emailed to them directly from our CEO, Jonathan Schwartz. An Employee CSR Advisory Board has now been established to provide feedback on our CSR programs and build a community of employees interested in helping to embed these initiatives throughout the company. Anyone can participate — 28 employees from around the world have already volunteered to serve on the Board in fiscal 2007. We measure our performance on employee engagement by tracking employee opinions on key issues through our Power of Sun surveys. For more details, see the Performance: Employee Survey section for the results of this year's surveys. | |||||||||
