Our unique Open Work program presents significant challenges to ensure correct ergonomics for the many "flex" employees who may work from a different workspace every time they come into one of our office spaces. With this in mind, we designed a comprehensive ergonomics program to ensure that every employee has a comfortable, safe workspace — no matter where they're located.

Every Sun workspace — whether a permanent workspace with an assigned employee or a flexible workspace that can be reserved — is equipped with an adjustable work surface. The desk can be raised or lowered and the chair adjusted to suit each employee. Additional resources are available to help employees configure their office space to suit their individual needs — whether they regularly work in the office or at home.

Employees can request an evaluation from an ergonomics professional, either in person at one of our offices or remotely using pictures to advise them on how to improve the ergonomics of how they work. This year, 353 employees requested such evaluations.

Some employees are advised in their evaluations that they need special furniture or equipment to ensure their safety at work. If so, these purchases are subsidized by Sun.
