Climate change is the biggest single threat facing our planet, and combating it requires everyone's engagement and participation. We promote sustainability through our partnerships, events, and initiatives and by providing tools and information to engage our employees, stakeholders, and society. By creating and joining online communities, we seek to generate ideas and provoke action that can help address our most intractable challenges.
In September 2007, we launched , a global online community that provides free, easy-to-use tools to help participants assess, track, and compare energy performance. The Web site enables users to share proven methods for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and encourages sustainable innovation.

This year we held several events to promote sustainability issues internally and externally, encourage participation in our online forums, and strengthen partnerships. These included the Sun Employee Eco Summit and the OpenEco Energy Camp.
