We recognize employee achievement in several ways, including rewarding our employees for their contributions toward achieving our vision and goals. We also have programs that recognize leadership and innovation.
Sun's Leadership Awards
Each year, Sun's Leadership Awards program recognizes from six to nine of our most influential leaders. All vice presidents and directors (excluding executive staff) are eligible, and peers, subordinates, and superiors can make nominations. There are approximately 50 nominations each year, and there are two essential criteria all winners must meet:
- What they've done: Achieving business results, supporting Sun's priorities, and developing and inspiring employees
- How they've done it: Living the Sun values and serving as role models for all Sun employees

Sun's Innovation Awards
Sun's Innovation Awards attract approximately 80 nominations each year. Up to 15 individuals are selected as outstanding innovators who support our business priorities, improve Sun's standing, generate a significant amount of new business, create new opportunities, expand our community, or change our industry.
Innovation Award nominees can be from any level, excluding vice presidents and executive staff. The number of winners varies depending on the size of the teams involved in nominated projects.
