In order to determine how best to focus our resources, we prioritize suppliers of materials that are used to make our products (direct materials) based on the amount of business we do with them, and therefore the leverage we have. In fiscal 2008, the suppliers covered by our supply chain CSR program represented 95% of our operations spend. In fiscal 2009, we expect the suppliers covered by our program to represent 98% of our operations spend.
Our supply chain CSR program is still in its early stages, but we've made good progress since its launch in late 2007. We face challenges as we implement the program across our global supply chain; however we're determined to improve and expand on our work.
