Audits

Sun implemented its Audit Program beginning in FY99. The program is
designed to ensure that the necessary EHS programs are being
implemented at each Sun site.
Individual sites audit their own compliance with applicable laws. However, every two years or when othrewise deemed appropriate, Corporate EHS administers a management systems assessment to determine each major site's EHS programs and their alignment with Sun's EHS Guidelines and Performance Standards. During Sun's Fiscal Year 1999, audited sites included the
campuses in Northern California, at Burlington/Chelmsford
Massachusetts, and Linlithgow, Scotland. We have
already visited our Broomfield, Colorado site during FY 2000.
Again in 2003 audits were conducted at the manufacturing campuses at
Newark, CA; Portland,Or and Linlithgow, Scotland. Contact EHS for copies of the Summary Reports for the manufacturing site audits conducted in 2003. |
