Peter recently traveled to Sydney, where he spent time with local partners, customers, media, analysts, including leaders in the HPC, government and software space.

While in Sydney, Peter spent time with The Australian National University who, in partnership with they Bureau of Meteorology, announced they have selected Sun to deliver to two state-of-the-art supercomputers capable of processing the vast amount of data needed to meet the needs of the community in forecasting extreme weather events and climate. The new supercomputers will deliver 12 times the power of previous models, ensuring Australia is at the forefront of international weather forecasting and climate modelling.
