Annual Reports

We are pleased to be among the first companies to take advantage of the new Securities and Exchange Commission rules that allow issuers to provide proxy materials to their stockholders on the internet. We believe the new rules will allow us to provide our stockholders with the information they need, while lowering the cost of the delivery of the materials and reducing the environmental impact of printing and mailing hard copies. If you have not signed up to receive your proxy materials electronically, you will receive a notice in your mail with your voting instructions. We encourage you to access and review all of the important information contained in the proxy materials before voting. When you review the annual meeting materials online, you can also help the environment by consenting to receive electronic delivery of future materials by simply going to this link to sign up.

Instructions for Beneficial Stockholders - If you hold Sun stock in an account in your name with a brokerage firm (e.g., Charles Schwab, E*Trade, Fidelity, Merrill Lynch), bank trustee or other agent, you are a "beneficial stockholder." Click here to review your proxy materials and voting instructions on-line as a beneficial stockholder hosted by Broadridge.

Instructions for Registered Stockholders - You are a "registered stockholder" if you are in possession of an actual stock certificate for Sun common shares, and your name appears in the stockholder register kept by our transfer agent, Computershare. Click here to review your proxy materials and voting instructions on-line as a registered stockholder hosted by Computershare.

Sun reduced the number of printed hard copies of its annual report for 2007, reducing the print run by over 90% from the previous year's production. Following is the environmental impact of doing so:

  • 99,700,000 fewer printed pages (or 199,400 reams of paper)
  • 1,728 tons of wood or 11,964 trees
  • 1,286 metric tons CO2 (equivalents) (that's 258 cars off the road for a year)
  • 9.5 million gallons of waste water (14 swimming pools)
  • 515 metric tons solid waste diverted from landfills

* Environmental impact estimates were made using the Environmental Defense Paper Calculator. For more information visit http://www.papercalculator.org.
