To Create or Edit a vCard
- Open Netscape Messenger.
- Choose Preferences from the Edit menu.
- Under "Mail & Newsgroups", click on the Identity item.
- On the right, next to vCard, click on "Edit Card."
- Fill in your information on all three tabs of the VCARD editing window, if necessary (Name,
Contact, Notes).
- IMPORTANT: Paste the code from below into the "Organization" field within the VCARD editing window. Note: sometimes you will not be able to paste all lines at once. In that case, please paste it line by line, ensuring that you have spaces between the lines that you pasted.
- Click OK.
- Put a check in the box that says "Attach my personal
card to messages (as a vCard)" and click OK.
Test your vCard by sending an email to yourself.
Mozilla
This version of Mozilla does not have the vCard setup feature. You must use a signature file in html format to insert an image banner to your signature.
- Select a banner image from above by clicking on the image. This will point you to an html file to save to your computer. Click File and Save Page As.
- Open the Mail & Newsgroups window of Mozilla.
- Select Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings from the Edit menu.
- Click the checkbox next to Attach this signature. If you know the complete path to the html file (e.g. c:\my documents\filename.html), type it in the text field to the left of the Choose button...or click Choose and locate the html file on your computer and double-click it to select the file.
- Click OK to complete the process.
- Compose a new message to test your email signature.
