Alain Andreoli joined Sun in January 2008. He steers Sun's European business, which represented over a third of the Company's revenue in fiscal year 2008. His leadership experience, repetitive change management successes and focus on flawless execution contribute to Sun's continued growth in Europe. With 25 years' experience in the IT industry, Alain has led repetitive turnaround businesses throughout the world, achieving accelerated growth and profitability. His management career has spanned a variety of markets, including consumer electronics, semiconductors, data storage, networking, IP communications, IT/data center services, software-as-a-service and IP community networks. Former roles include chairing the Global Industrial Segment of Texas Instruments, VP & GM EMEA then CVP International Operations and Global Services of StorageTek (now Sun), President & COO of Verio (NTT group), EVP Global Sales and Services of McData (now Brocade), President & CEO of Xiotech, and prior to joining Sun, Chairman & CEO of cc-hubwoo. Alain obtained his business degree from CERAM in France and participated into the MBA program of Concordia University in Canada. He currently operates from London and is home based in Paris. Married with 3 children, his interests include skiing, sailing, history and ancient maps.
