Anil is Executive Vice President of Sun's Application Platform Software group. In this role he is responsible for leading Sun's open source based software businesses ranging from the popular MySQL opensource database, Software Infrastructure including Identity and the opensource GlassFish application server, Java including Java FX and Sun Learning Services. Anil has held a variety of positions at Sun ranging from serving as head of Product Marketing, serving as General Manager of the Solaris operating systems group, VP of Software Marketing and, most recently as Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to Sun, Anil has been with a startup company, Apollo Computer, as well as Hewlett Packard. Anil has a B.S.E.E. from Stanford University and a Master of Management degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
