Bruce Douglas is the vice president, Global Professional Services (PS) at Sun Microsystems, Inc. In this role, Douglas brings more than 17 years of experience in technology and business acumen to drive the growing Professional & Managed Services business globally, including StorageTek and SeeBeyond product lines. As vice president of Global PS, he works to ensure an effective integration of the PS business into the overall Services architecture and to drive PS solutions into Sun's high-end systems and storage spaces, middleware software and infrastructure software. In addition, Douglas also works with the PS Delivery team, the PS Product Management Team and the Field Technical community has an effective engagement in the field built around AIM Methodology. Prior to joining Sun, Douglas was the co-founder, president and CEO of Neogent where he brought together a seasoned team of experts and drove Neogent's successful growth and adoption to an impressive set of Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to Neogent, he spent many years bringing together unique and successful teams of people in combination with value-based emerging technologies, ultimately generating extremely profitable companies and solutions. Douglas was critical in building The FourthTier which was an emerging Customer Relationship company that was later sold to Keane, Inc. in 1997.
