President and Chief Executive Officer, Intuit Inc.

Steve Bennett joined Intuit in January 2000 as the company's president and CEO. Since joining Intuit, Bennett has combined the company's historic innovative and customer-driven expertise with strategic and operational rigor, taking Intuit beyond the billion-dollar revenue threshold.

Under Mr. Bennett's leadership, Intuit has redefined itself to focus on businesses with steady demand and those where the company has strategic and durable advantage. Within these businesses, Bennett has created new growth from pursuing underserved portions of the market with the goal of producing profitable growth over the long haul. As part of this strategy, Mr. Bennett has overseen more than 10 acquisitions of leading software companies that not only help Intuit serve larger and more complex businesses, but also add solutions that move beyond accounting and tax preparation.

Mr. Bennett has also led the company's efforts to expand growth opportunities for Intuit's existing portfolio of brands, including QuickBooks software, TurboTax software and Quicken software. His customer-focused strategies have Intuit poised to become the leading provider of financial and business management tools and services for companies and individuals.

Mr. Bennett joined Intuit from General Electric Corp., where he managed complex and diverse organizations - from consumer appliances to financial services - during a 23-year career. He was also president and CEO of GE Capital Vendor Financial Services, a global leader in providing sales financing for manufacturers and distributors. In the roughly three years that he led that organization, net income more than doubled, going from $82 million to over $175 million.

Previously Mr. Bennett served as vice president of the Americas for GE Electrical Distribution and Control (ED&C), and held a variety of key management roles in numerous areas of GE's business, including GE Appliances, GE Medical and GE Supply.

Mr. Bennett graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BA in finance and real estate.
