Setting the Global Agenda for Network Computing

In November, we got together with the folks at AMD to tell the world about our alliance to develop new systems based on AMD's Opteron processor. A reporter at the press conference commented that "Sun seems to be setting the industry agenda instead of following it."
I couldn't agree more. While the industry has zigged and zagged, we've stayed the course, and the industry is once more coming around to Sun's strategy in a big way. Since 1982, we've been setting the network computing agenda, and this week we delivered more than 25 innovative network computing products, technologies and services into the marketplace.
Sun's Network Computing 04-Q1 (NC04-Q1) in San Francisco is the first anniversary of our NC quarterly launch strategy, with another half billion dollar R&D payout designed to help customers solve complex network computing problems. We're rolling into 2004 with biggest product refresh and most focused strategy and business model in our history.
