Sebastian Teunissen

Sebastian Teunissen has been involved in international management for his entire career. Born in the Netherlands, raised in Canada and educated in Canada and the USA, he developed a global outlook from an early age. He has worked in industry, government and academe. Sebastian has lived on four continents and worked in dozens of countries. For the last 10 years he has been on the faculty of the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, where he is the Executive Director of the Clausen Center for International Business and Policy and also an Adjunct Professor. Sebastian serves as a director and advisor, for a number of companies and organizations, on international management issues. He also lectures and consults around the globe.
At Haas, Sebastian runs two programs that provide international opportunities to MBA students. The International Business Development Program assigns teams of student consultants to projects around the globe. To date, more than 800 students have worked on hundreds of projects in more than 60 countries. The Seminars in International Business allow students from the Haas Evening and Weekend MBA program to travel to various countries to study the opportunities and challenges of doing business internationally. India, China, Russia and Brazil are all featured in this program. Additionally, the Clausen Center sponsors an annual conference on investing in China, India and Russia. The next conference, to be held in Hyderabad, India, on November 13, 2007 is focusing on Innovation in these countries.
