OpenEco.org is a first-of-its-kind community to help organizations assess, track and compare their CO2 emissions. On September 24, 2007 Sun publicly introduced OpenEco.org at an event the company sponsored with the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) featuring President Bill Clinton in New York. At the event, the CDP named Sun to its Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index, a group of 68 Financial Times 500 companies who have distinguished themselves in addressing the risks and opportunities of climate change.
