CommunityOne Open Developer Conference Comes to New York City
March 18, 2009 - CommunityOne East is a two-day event that will bring together developers, students and technologists to focus on open source innovation and implementation. Growing in popularity since its launch in San Francisco in 2007, this is the first time CommunityOne will be held on the East coast. The conference programs on Wednesday 18 March will offer more than 30 sessions led by contributors of dozens of open source and community projects such as Apache, Android, Groovy, GlassFish, JavaFX, MySQL, NetBeans, OpenSolaris, PHP, and more.
"CommunityOne's growing popularity has led Sun to add this additional conference and venue for the thousands of developers eager to participate and experience," said Juan Carlos Soto, vice president of marketing for Cloud Computing, Sun Microsystems. "As the leading open source vendor Sun is committed to growing and strengthening the open source developer and user community and we are thrilled to offer an open forum for education, interaction and exchange at CommunityOne."
