Sun Microsystems's President and COO Ed Zander, along with David Yen, the
Executive Vice President of Sun's Scalable Systems Group, lead a
ribbon cutting ceremony to open up their new architecturally intriguing
compute ranch for tours to local politicians, partners, media and analysts.
Sun executives illustrate through this state-of-the-art facility that the
pooling of design resources accomplishes not only operational efficiency,
but allows for greater computing problems to be solved in the future. Along
with the Sunnyvale, CA location, Sun operates two additional processor
design compute ranches--Austin, Texas and Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
