Java Community Process
1224 members, 313 JSRs. (as of 04/17/2007) (This amounts to an increase of 10.5% from August, 2006)
Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Japan, South Korea, Sweden, UK and US are countries with 20 or more entities involved in JCP.
A diversity of entities joined the JCP - academia, corporate, not-for-profit - including University of South Florida, Goldman Sachs & Co., Eclipse Foundation Inc., Institute for Information Industry of Taiwan, Huawei Technologies, Ltd. of Hong Kong, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., India.
About a third of the submitted JSRs have been completed, led by over 55 organizations and individuals:

- Enterprise: Three versions of Java Enterprise Edition
- Desktop: Three versions of Java Standard Edition

Over 91% of Internet-connected PCs have Java enabled (Source: Omniture, April 2007).
This includes over 63% of Sun JRE in the US, and over 65% of Sun JRE in Italy/Spain/UK (Nielsen//NetRatings, January 2007)
