D2K DELIVERS SOLUTION ON SUN ONE PORTAL SERVER

A More Cost Effective Integration Solution Provides Quicker Customer Implementations

San Jose, CA - June 3, 2002 -- Data to Knowledge, Inc. (D2K) a leading supplier of standards-based integration middleware software, today announced it has adopted the new Sun ONE Portal Server 6.0 and will be delivering solutions based on the Sun ONE platform, Sun's vision, architecture, platform and expertise to enable the development and delivery of services on demand.

As the market leader in the integration middleware industry, D2K intends to integrate their product offerings with the Sun ONE platform, enabling D2K to continue its leadership in providing a simple, fast and cost effective integration solution. Through extensive standards-based support of J2EE, JCA and XML, D2K will integrate its flagship products, the Integrator for Leading Networks (ILN) and the Distributed Business Process Manager (DBPM) with the Sun ONE architecture.

Joint customers will benefit from D2K's solution on the Sun ONE architecture through projects that are easier and quicker to integrate than other integration middleware software options on the market today. Customers will realize significant cost savings by streamlined enterprise value chains, centralized integration services, and delivery to end users through a seamless single sign-on application approach. This in turn provides improved employee productivity as well as interaction with customers and suppliers, both within and beyond the enterprise.

"We are pleased to be selected as a strategic Sun ONE partner, which demonstrates that D2K is as a leading technology provider and shows our commitment to the Sun ONE technology platform," said Kee Ong, President & CEO of D2K. "It became clear early on in our discussion with Sun that we shared the same philosophy around a commitment to standards, easy-of-use, and a desire to provide a more cost-effective integration solution to the marketplace."

"D2K brings an impressive breadth of Asia Pacific based customers and distributors to Sun ONE," said Marge Breya, vice president of marketing with Sun ONE. "The fit with the Sun ONE Portal Server is enhanced through D2K's commitment to J2EE, JCA, and JMS technology, which will help our customers with business integration solutions."
