Sun's employees are at the heart of our community involvement. While a company has the ability to make a difference through philanthropic and in-kind contributions, we believe our communities are even better served when our employees are engaged and actively participate. We will continue to foster a corporate environment that inspires our employees' engagement, through initiatives such as the Sun Microsystems Foundation.

The Sun Foundation has contributed grants of Sun technology and services to schools and nonprofit charitable organizations that seek to increase participation of underrepresented populations in technology classes and careers.
