The Sun Microsystems Advanced Product Testing Lab in Longmont, Colorado, is a fully equipped environmental test laboratory. APT Lab employs the use of vibration, shock, altitude and temperature/humidity test machines to perform evaluations on products and package systems. All are designed, built and utilized to perform testing in accordance with ITAR, NEBS, ASTM, ISTA, MIL-SPEC 810, RTCA/DO-160, UN/DOT HAZ-MAT and other specifications.

APT Lab has been audited, approved by, or is a member of the following agencies, associations, and corporations:

  • Ball Aerospace - approved vendor
  • Dell Certifided Lab - shock and vibration testing
  • DOT/United Nations (Department of Transportation)
  • IOPP (Institute of Packaging Professionals)
  • ISO 9001 (International Standards Organization)
  • ISTA Certified (International Safe Transit Association)
  • ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) - 22 U.S.C. 2778 of the Arms Export Control Act and ITAR 22 CFR 120-130 compliant
