Beach Puncture Testing

The TMI Beach Puncture tester determines exactly how much force is required to pierce your paper product or package. This puncture test simulates a highly focused, short duration force.

Mullen Burst Testing

The Mullen Burst test is used to measure the burst strength of a given container. This information is essential for your Box Manufacturer's Certificate (BMC) and to know just how much force your container can withstand.

Edge Crush Testing

This test determines the force that a box edge can withstand (as opposed to its face as in a Mullen test). This is important information to have when considering transportation and stacking options. In addition, this information can be placed on the Box Manufacturer's Certificate (BMC).

Sutherland Ink Rub Testing

The Sutherland ink-rub testers are designed to evaluate the smearing, scuffing, and rubbing resistance of an ink or surface on containerboard. Dry rub, wet rub, wet bleed or transfer wet smear, and functional rub are all imporatant tests for your paper product

Water Absorption (Cobb) Testing

You know your box isn't waterproof, but do you know just how much water it can withstand? The test is used for determining liquid absorptiveness or resilience of treated and untreated papers, boards, fabrics and other sheet materials.
