Solaris 8 Admin Pack Important Download Information

Solaris 8 Admin Pack can be downloaded in full (via complete CD image), or by individual product. Please read the instructions below for important information regarding these download options.

The CD images are archived in .ZIP files. Download the file containing the image and then unzip it. This can be done from Solaris by typing "unzip filename" at a Unix prompt. From Windows, the file can be unzipped using a third-party unzip utility such as PKZIP or WinZIP.

Individual product downloads

Individual products are installed from self-extracting archives. To install a product, download the appropriate file (which should have an extension of ".shar"), and launch it. A wizard will guide you through the installation process. If you are using CDE File Manager, the file can be launched by double-clicking on it. If you are using a command prompt, the file can be launched by typing:

					# chmod 777 <filename>
					#./<filename>

AdminSuite Client for Windows

The AdminSuite client for Windows is installed from a self-extracting archive. To install it, download the file (which should have an extension of ".exe") and launch it. A wizard will guide you through the installation process.
