How does one install the Broadcom driver over the Solaris (default) driver?
A:
At Solaris installation one can use a ITU image made available by Broadcom's driver download.
One may also remove the existing bnx package after Solaris is installed and pkgadd Broadcom's driver.
Q:
The empty bnx package in the Solaris 10 08/07 OS has issues with ITU. How does one work around this?
A:
Issue a pkgrm of the bnx package prior to using the ITU. A updated ITU image should be made available for download by Broadcom in the near future which addresses this issue.
