Case Study: Phone Call Surveillance With CopperEye Greenwich on Sun Fire X4540 ServerRainer Walter, August 2008 IntroductionThis document describes the results of using the CopperEye Greenwich Server software on a Sun Fire X4540 server running the Solaris 10 Operating System. CopperEye Greenwich software is designed for fast retrieval of records located in flat data files. In this case study, phone call data for a telecommunications company was stored and analyzed according to regulations. The case study demonstrated that CopperEye Greenwich Server and Sun Fire X4540 server can deliver fast data processing and querying performance. In cases where both the type and character of business data and the analysis of business data match some criteria, such a solution can deliver performance comparable to the "traditional" approach based on an RDBMS, or even surpass it, at much lower cost.
