Sun Storage J4400 Array as Disk Storage for Zmanda Recovery Manager for MySQL Database

Introduction

Here are steps to quickly configure and deploy Zmanda Recovery Manager for MySQL databases with the Sun Storage J4400 array. The article provides examples for installing Zmanda Recovery Manager (ZRM) for MySQL. The authors also show how to configure a zpool and the ZFS file system on the Solaris 10 OS. In this scenario, ZRM is running on a Sun Fire X4200 M2 server with the Solaris 10 8/07 OS (the minimum recommended version).
