If you trying to install drivers for Solaris 10 with this card DGE-530T... you might get error that an older driver exists. So please do this: 1) Remove the driver package # pkgrm SK98sol 2) Check if its driver_aliases is clean & remove them # grep sk98 /etc/driver_aliases 3) Install the new driver. # gunzip skge*.tar.Z ; tar -xvf skge*.tar # pkgadd -d . SKGEsol 4) Once installed # update_drv -a -i "pci1186,4b01" skge # touch /reconfigure ; reboot *done*

I just purchased a new DGE-530T. It has a new chipset on it, Marvell 88E8003. I was able to use the same driver listed above with this modified update command and it is working: /usr/sbin/update_drv -a -i "pci1186,4c00" skge

Also check the "pci1186,xxxx" value in the /boot/solaris/devicedb/master file, and that the /etc/path_to_inst has the same "/pci@0,0/pci1186,xxxx@b" X "skge", instance number (X) for the /etc/hostname.skgeX file.
