General Notes: This report is for a late model motherboard which includes the Adaptec 7902 U320 SCSI controller.

dd if=/dev/zero of=/var/tmp/test bs=1024k count=2048 took 45 seconds on a dual 1MHz U160 P3 system and almost 15 *minutes* on this dual Xeon system.

Disabling IOAPIC and exttended IOAPIC in the AMI BIOS resulted in the same test taking 32 seconds.

This is using the recommended v2 Adaptec driver for the 7902.
