General Notes:
The Quad-Core Intel Xeon X7350 Processor configuration was certified with Solaris 10 8/07. The Network Controller Intel 82575EB (Zoar) was deactivated in this certification.
The Hexa-Core Intel Xeon E7450 Processor configuration was certified with Solaris 10 10/08
To run Solaris 10 5/08 (S10U5) on the Hexa-Core configuration, patch 137112-06 must be installed.
To install the patch, you must force the system to boot on a single CPU by adding a parameter to
the GRUB boot string on first booting the system. Add "-B boot-ncpus=1" to the GRUB boot string
as documented at http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-1985/fwbme?a=view
Once the system has booted, install the patch as described in the patch documentation.
For Solaris 10 10/08 release, add the following line to /etc/system to avoid the system hang during a warm reboot:
set pcie_pci:pepb_intel_workaround_disable = 1
