General Notes: For installing Solaris 9 on AquaServer T222R boot from CD1, not CD0, go
through the DCA and select boot from CD (as you normally
would). At the NEXT PROMPT (that asks if you want an
interactive or jumpstart installation), type
"bsh". You will then be placed in the boot shell.
At this point, type the following:

#cd /options
#setbinprop pci-ide-blacklist 0x1166,0xffff,0x213,0xffff,8
#source /etc/bootrc

During the installation select at last menu (Not Auto reboot). After the system is installation, you should be
add (use like vi editor) the following to the
/platform/i86pc/kernel/drv/ata.conf file to make the above
workaround "permanent":

pci-ide-blacklist=0x1166,0xffff,0x213,0xffff,8;

(don't forget the semicolon).
After then, reboot .
Currently Certified for Solaris 10 only.
