The Techie Toolbox often features scripts and content submitted by members of the BigAdmin community and may not be appropriate for all organizations.
» Monitor Veritas Disk Failures (cron)
This C-shell script is used to monitor Veritas disk failures and send an email to a user if there is a failure. vxdisk must be installed.
» nfsclients (Active Clients)
This shell script displays a list of NFS client hosts that are either currently mounting a shared NFS resource or have recently (within the timeout limit) unmounted a shared resource.
» Monitor su Usage
This script sends an email to the administrator to report superuser login failures and successes.
» prtdiag_analyse_snmpgathering.tar.gz
These are scripts that parse the output of prtdiag on various SPARC platforms; they output an error if there is something wrong. The scripts use the net-snmp agent extension to monitor the machines' hardware from a central console using SNMP Gets.
