Descriptions of Sun Management Center Platform Configuration Add-Ons

There are specific add-on configuration readers for Sun Management Center that are installed depending on the type of system. There are 10 different add-ons.

Here is a description of the add-on configuration reader types and a description of the systems they support:

Common Config Reader:

The common configuration reader add-on covers most of the current Sun platforms including Sun Blade systems, Sun Netra systems, Sun SPARC Enterprise servers, Sun Fire servers, and Sun Ultra workstations.

Domain Config Reader SPARC Enterprise Mx000, Domain DR SPARC Enterprise Mx000, and Plat Admin SPARC Enterprise Administration:

These three add-ons are exclusively used to support the SPARC64-based M3000/M4000/M5000/M8000/M9000 series of Sun SPARC Enterprise servers.

Netra CT900:

This add-on supports the Sun Netra CT 900 ATCA Blade Server.

Sun Management Center 4.0:

This download contains the core Sun Management Center 4.0 functionality. It also provides the following add-on's for these older, legacy SPARC architecture systems.

• Desktop - This add-on supported the older Sun Ultra workstations, such as Ultra 30, Ultra 60, Ultra 80, Sun Blade 150, Sun Blade 1000, and Sun Blade 2000 systems.
• Sun Fire Entry-Level-Midrange - This add-on supports the Sun Fire V1280, Sun Netra 1290, and Sun Fire E2900 mid-range server systems.
• Netra - This add-on supported legacy Sun Netra server systems. Newer Sun Netra platforms are supported with the Common Config Reader add-on.
• Sun Fire Midrange Systems Platform Administration, Sun Fire Midrange Systems Domain, Dynamic Reconfiguration for Sun Fire Systems - This add-on exclusively supports the Sun Fire 3800/4800/4810/6800 and Sun Fire E4900/E6900 midrange servers.
• Sun Fire High-End Systems Monitoring - This add-on exclusively supports the Sun Fire 12K/15K and Sun Fire E20K/E25K high-end servers. These high-end servers also require the use of the Dynamic Reconfiguration for Sun Fire Systems add-on module.
