If you have entry-level Sun servers, workstations, and storage products covered under warranty or SunSpectrum support contracts, you can take advantage of Sun Services' expertise to replace CRUs onsite with the Sun Parts Installation service. This service lets you keep your IT infrastructure running optimally while focusing your resources on other business. The service is useful if you operate non-staffed "lights out" data centers or you have minimal expertise or resources. The Sun Parts Installation service is easy to purchase, has consistent part numbers, and is available in two flavors:

Prerequisite ServicesThe Sun Parts Installation service can be used for warranty, Sun hardware support plans, or SunSpectrum support plans when you want Sun to install your CRUs. If you are not under warranty or a Sun support contract, use the standard Sun time and materials service. Geographic AvailabilityThe Sun Parts Installation service is available globally. See Service Lists By Country for supported countries. Response TimeFor the incident service, response time is on a "reasonable effort" basis within current local business hours. For the upgrade service, response time is based on the level of service provided in your current support contract or product warranty. Terms and ConditionsPricing will vary by country. The service is priced on a per-incident basis and includes travel expenses paid for engineers servicing systems located within 50 kilometers (30 miles) of a local Sun service office. Additional charges might apply for systems that are located farther away than this, in areas where service is available.
