TOM BIALASKI is a staff engineer in the Sun Services Engineering group at Sun Microsystems. He has been at Sun Microsystems for 10 years and started his career in the CTE Engineering Group. Since then he has held various engineering positions within Sun Microsystems.

ADRIAN COCKCROFT is a Distinguished Systems Engineer at Sun Microsystems, working in the Performance Applications Engineering organization. He has broad experience of both hardware and software and works to make sure that many diverse products come together to form complete and consistent systems. He is the primary author of Sun Performance and Tuning: Java and the Internet, and contributed to the Sun BluePrint, Resource Management. An Englishman, he holds a degree in Applied Physics and Electronics from the City University, London.

Had Richard McDougall lived 100 years ago, he would have had the hood open on the first four-stroke internal combustion-powered vehicle, exploring new techniques for making improvements. He would be looking for simple ways to solve complex problems and helping pioneering owners understand how the technology worked to get the most from their new experience. These days, Richard uses technology to satisfy his curiosity. He is a Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems, specializing in operating systems technology and systems performance.

ENRIQUE VARGAS brings 20 years of large systems experience to Sun Microsystems, where he currently specializes in high-end, high availability UNIX[R] solutions. Enrique joined the Sun Enterprise Engineering group in 1997 from Amdahl Corporation where he focused on UTS (mainframe UNIX) and high-end. highly available Solaris[tm] Operating Environment systems. Enrique holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
