A software intern position to participate in Mobile Java platforms development. Assist St.-Petersburg local engineering team in various software development activities within Java ME/Java FX Mobile project. Assist in development process support including scripting and tools development. Share responsibility for the team deliverables, work closely with colleagues from the USA.
The job may include implementation of JCP or RFC specifications, developing Java modules for mobile platforms under leadership of a senior developer, creating scripts for development process, writing tests, refactoring or optimizing legacy codes, working on performance measurement and tuning.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Knowledge of Java, scripting languages, acquaintance with source control systems and command line processors.
Good English reading/writing skills.
Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent field of study is required.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Concurrent programming experience. Fluent English. Knowledge of C/C++, GNU development tools and utilities. Experience in Linux, Mac OS X. Knowledge and experience in Java SE/ME technologies (SWING, CLDC, CDC, Optional JSR's). Experience in networking, XML.
