Passengers can choose from a variety of movies, TV programs, music CDs and channels. There is also an extensive selection of video games and interactive applications including Berlitz Word Traveller, a fully interactive learning program. For the longest time, in-flight entertainment was limited only to movies, music and lately, games. Busy executives who wanted to work through their flights would have to resort to their laptops, which can be bulky and cumbersome. Often the battery may not last through a long haul flight. Singapore Airlines, always a pioneer in offering the best to its passengers, felt that the next step forward would be to provide a productivity suite in addition to its world-class entertainment suite.
