Based on leading-edge architecture and technology, the Sun XVR-1200 graphics accelerator delivers high-quality graphics, provides a wide range of functionality, and sets new levels of 3-D performance.
The Sun XVR-1200 graphics accelerator features a 3Dlabs Wildcat graphics processing unit core and over 400 MB of on-board memory, including 128 MB of dedicated frame buffer memory, 256 MB of dedicated texture memory, and 32 MB of display list memory. The Sun XVR-1200 graphics accelerator delivers five times the geometry performance and over four times the texture mapping performance of the Sun Expert3D graphics accelerator when used in the 66 MHz PCI slot of Sun's next-generation workstation. And with support for professional-level features like stereo graphics, dual DVI-I outputs, multiple video overlays, and extended Z-buffer, the Sun XVR-1200 graphics accelerator is ideal for sophisticated and demanding 3-D graphics applications.
