Review the Getting Started Guide The Sun Ultra 20 Workstation Getting Started Guide and Sun Ultra 20 M2 Workstation Installation Guide provide information on how to set up the system, cable, and power on the system. If you're going to use the pre-installed Solaris 10 x86 operating system, please consult Chapter 3 of the Sun Ultra 20 Workstation Getting Started Guide or Chapter 2 of the Sun Ultra 20 M2 Workstation Operating System Installation Guide.

Step 2. Review the System Product Notes The Sun Ultra 20 Workstation Release Notes and the Sun Ultra 20 M2 Workstation Product Notes provide late breaking information on new features, additional software, and known hardware and software issues.

Step 3. Review Operating System Installation The latest information on supported operating systems for the Sun Ultra 20 and Sun Ultra 20 M2 workstations can be found here. Additional information regarding operating systems and their installation for the Sun Ultra 20 Workstation can be found in Chapter 2 of the Sun Ultra 20 Workstation Getting Started Guide. Step 4. Obtain Appropriate Drivers The Sun Ultra 20/M2 Workstations come pre-installed with the Solaris 10 Operating System. Please preview or download the latest firmware, drivers and tools specific to your system.
