Q: Why must I upgrade memory in pairs?

The memory controller provides a 137-bit wide memory bus. The data path across the bus is 128-bits wide with the remaining 9-bits assigned for ECC.

Yes. The Sun Ultra 45 Workstation will support up to four SAS 146 GB 15K rpm hard disk drives.
