Sun recommends that customers use only Sun-qualified memory for maximum reliability.

The memory controller provides a 137-bit wide memory bus. The data path across the bus is 128-bits wide with the remaining 9-bits assigned for ECC.

Not possible. A VGA port on the graphics accelerator card can only drive an analog display (CRT). It cannot drive a digital display (LCD).
