Sun Java[TM] System Web Proxy Server 4.0.3 is a full install. It will upgrade existing Sun Java System Web Proxy Server 4.0 configurations or can be installed by itself. Sun Java System Web Proxy Server collects data from the network, determines the destination of the data, and distributes it accordingly. Acting as a network traffic manager it reduces the number of requests to remote content servers and reduces network traffic. The result is that wait times are lowered and network performance is boosted. Sun Java System Web Proxy Server also provides a secure gateway for content distribution and acts as a control point for Internet traffic, making communications managed by the server efficient and secure.
