Sun Fire X4500 Software 1.2

This release offers the latest firmware and software supporting the Sun Fire X4500 server. This release includes support for Solaris 10 11/06, RHEL 4 U4 64-bit, SLES 10 64-bit, and Windows Server 2003 operating systems. Also included are the following updated modules:

  • BIOS version 19
  • ILOM version 1.1.8 (Service Processor firmware)
  • Marvell SATA disk driver
  • Disk Control and Monitor Utility (DCMU)
  • Hard Drive Monitor Utility (HD Utility)

    • CD images for:

  • Bootable Diagnostic CD version 2.2.1
  • Sun Installation Assistant version 2.0.131 for Linux and Windows Server 2003
  • Tools and Drivers CD

    • If you need to rebuild the preinstalled Solaris operating system, you must download the Solaris 10 11/06 operating system and apply mandatory patches. The latest list of patches to be applied is included on the download site.
