Sun Download Manager (SDM) is a Java application that requires the
Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE), version 1.2.2 or higher, installed
on your system. Most newer browsers and operating systems already include
J2SE. However, if you have an older version or it's not installed on your
system, you must download
and install J2SE before you can use SDM.
Recommended Platforms:
Solaris Operating System for SPARC or x86
Solaris 8 or higher recommended
Earlier versions may require patching as well as
upgrading of the installed Java version.
Windows: 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP
Java Desktop System
Other Platforms (SDM has not been tested as thoroughly on the following but
should work as long as a recommended version of J2SE is installed):
Mac OS X
Linux
J2SE v1.2.2 or higher
300 KB free disk space to install SDM
(Note: For downloads, free disk space at least two times the size of the
download file is recommended.)
