Deutsche Telekom AG is a leading provider of one-stop information and communications technology solutions for medium to large-sized companies, multinational corporations and government entities in more than 20 countries. HappyDigits is a customer loyalty program operated by Deutsche Telekom subsidiary Customer Advantage Program GmbH (CAP). Deutsche Telekom subsidiary CAP upgraded its Siebel customer relationship management (CRM) software to support the newest version of its customer retention program, HappyDigits. CAP simultaneously upgraded and standardized much of its other software and refreshed its Sun hardware to optimize the technology infrastructure supporting the CRM solution.

Betfair, based in London, U.K., is the world's leading online betting exchange, a concept it pioneered. Driven by cutting-edge technology, Betfair processes more than 300 bets per second. Betfair is the trading name of The Sporting Exchange Ltd. From its startup days in 2000, Betfair has relied on Sun servers and storage technology to power its explosive growth. In early 2006, after receiving a license to operate in Australia, Betfair needed to rapidly deploy a new data center in Tasmania. Working with Sun, Betfair quickly replicated the Web architecture of its Sun-based U.K. operations and completed the new data center within its four-month time window.

Frontier called on Sun Professional Services to provide architecture and end-to-end project management services for a major overhaul of its Web site, Frontierairlines.com. Sun's platform architecture and phased product plan allow Frontier to scale the new Web site to support its current and long-range goals to drive a larger share of bookings on the Web. Sun Learning Services is training Frontier staff on Sun technologies used in the Web site, including the Solaris 10 Operating System and the Sun Java Application Platform Suite. |

Utility Reduces Annual IT Operating Costs by $10 Million With Consolidated Sun Infrastructure. Scottish Water provides water and waste-water services to 5 million people and 135,000 businesses across 30,000 square miles in Scotland. It operates and maintains thousands of assets including water treatment centers, pumping stations and pipelines to provide services to a geographically dispersed population. When Scottish Water formed in 2002 from the merger of three former water authorities, one of its mandates was to reduce operating costs by 40 percent. To help reach the aggressive goal, Scottish Water needed to overhaul its five heterogeneous and aging data centers. Scottish Water migrated and consolidated its server/storage infrastructure onto a Sun Enterprise Consolidation Solution.
