Solaris Subscriptions - Updates and Support

Education customers enjoy special pricing on Solaris Service plans. Solaris Subscriptions give you a flexible, cost-efficient choice of three software support levels to match your needs - Basic, Standard and Premium. Solaris Service Plan Basic Tier includes Solaris OS Updates including all of the Software in Solaris Enterprise System, Sun Update Connection, and other services. Standard and Premium Services include phone support.

 

License Terms and Requirements

A Solaris Enterprise System right-to-use (RTU) license is required to run the Solaris Operating System. This RTU/Entitlement on all supported platforms is now free to registered end users. Customers are entitled to use the Solaris Enterprise System software for teaching, testing, development, and deployment. However, to purchase support for all of the products in Solaris Enterprise System, other than the Solaris OS, customer must first purchase a license. Some of the products included in the Solaris Enterprise System have discounted licensing for Education.
