Standard and Premium Services include phone support. License Terms and Requirements A Solaris Enterprise System right-to-use (RTU) license is required to run the Solaris Operating System. This RTU/Entitlement on all supported platforms is now free to registered end users. Customers are entitled to use the Solaris Enterprise System software for teaching, testing, development, and deployment. However, to purchase support for all of the products in Solaris Enterprise System, other than the Solaris OS, customer must first purchase a license. Some of the products included in the Solaris Enterprise System have discounted licensing for Education. The combination of Solaris Enterprise System and Solaris Subscriptions are the replacement for the EduSoft Academic Edition Media Kit program.
