Third Party InfiniBand Products - NOTES
Sun is developing systems which will utilize the InfiniBand architecture primarily for server interconnection, but other uses are envisaged as the technology becomes more accepted by the marketplace. The core support for InfiniBand is already built in to Solaris 10, as well as Linux, and development continues to provide increasing levels of support in subsequent Solaris updates. Sun is already partnering with several InfiniBand switch vendors to enable large, high-performance solutions for their mutual customers. This support in Solaris 10 1/06 distribution. Current HCA offerings are virtually identical to the one offered by Sun, so they will not be listed as Solaris Ready.
